MEN’S GOLF

The Huntington men’s golf team posted a 36-hole score of 657 on Monday at The Rupp presented by Spring Arbor to finish fourth out of 14 teams at the TPC Michigan Golf Club.

Leading the way for HU was Carter Roseboom who turned in a 159 (86-73) for tenth place out of 95 golfers. Brenner Lampton finished 22 nd with a 165 (83-82). Colby Martin carded a 167 (82-85) good for 30 th place.

Peyton Richmond (87-81) and Luke VanDeventer (85-85) shot within two strokes of each other to finish with a 168 and 170 respectively. Other scores for the Foresters included Trey Spring with a 182 (88-94) and Austin Batey with a 196 (101-95).

Spring Arbor captured the team title with a 621 followed by Indiana Tech (639), Siena Heights (653), HU (657), Saint Francis (659), Adrian (660), Spring Arbor C (662), Rochester (664), Grace (668), UM-Dearborn (669), Spring Arbor B (673), Mount Vernon (674), Concordia (676) and Mount Vernon B (760).

HU’s fall season wraps up later this month with an IWU JV tourney on October 19 and the Kohler Collegiate Classic on October 23-24.
