Looking for ways to improve student research and information literacy skills?

Here are some ideas for partnering for student success:

  • LibGuide – online research guide for an assignment, course, or department
  • Links in Moodle to subject or course LibGuide, library databases, or articles for a course or assignments and database, information literacy, or research tutorials and videos
  • Information literacy, research, and library mini-lessons or full classes in-person or virtual tied to a research project
  • Library learning labs – bring your class in for a presentation to start and then hands-on time to work on a project with a librarian and professor to guide and assist
  • Database or subject-specific workshops for a research assignment outside of class time (possible extra credit opportunity)
  • Reserves and e-reserves
  • Help identifying OER, e-book, and e-textbook options
  • Copyright information
  • Refer students needing research help to the librarians – virtual, phone, email, in-person, drop-in, and by appointment
  • Reviewing and purchasing library collections of books, e-books, media, journals, e-journals, and databases to support your classes and departments
  • Library instruction lab available for reservation with Noelle Keller

Have other ideas? Please reach out and I will be glad to discuss with you.

Library upper level conference room, main level AV group study room, seminar room, and classroom are available for reservation with Steve Pozezanac at (260) 359-4260,  Cathy Trout at (260) 359-4009, Bethany DuBois, library assistant at (260) 359-4060, Melissa Boothman, access services assistant at (260) 359-4054, or Noelle Keller at (260) 359-4063. Library computer lab reservations are handled by Noelle Keller at (260) 359-4063.

  • “Scholarship Showcase” opportunity – If you have research you have done or done with your students or work of your students that you would like to highlight, I am looking for materials to display in the RichLyn Library entry display case and would be glad to tie-in a brown bag “lunch and learn” presentation if you would like.
  • “Lunch and Learn” opportunity – If you are looking for a place to host a campus conversation for faculty, staff, and/or students on an academic topic, research you are working on or have completed, etc., we have some great spaces to use. We would be glad to help coordinate hosting and promoting with you. Feel free to contact me.

I am available to schedule a time to talk in person or via Zoom. Departments are invited to schedule a time that I might host or visit a departmental meeting to discuss library resources and services.

Looking forward to working with you for student academic success.
