Chapel Speakers for This Week
Tuesday’s chapel will feature Chris and Kelly Lillpop. Chris Lillpop has dedicated his career to training young leaders throughout Central & Eastern Europe and North America in the disciple-making strategies of Christ. Since receiving an undergraduate degree from Moody Bible Institute, Chris has served in several different ministry roles, including local youth pastor, short-term missions team coordinator, and eventually as the director of Josiah Venture’s evangelistic summer camp ministry in Poland. Leveraging his unique skill set and ministry experience, Chris continues to serve with Josiah Venture in the areas of mobilization and partnership development.
Kelly Lillpop is thankful to have been raised in a healthy youth ministry to become a resilient disciple of Christ. A trained educator, she has spent years teaching and equipping a wide age range of students. Serving with Josiah Venture since 2013, Kelly held the role of intern director in Poland, coordinated English camps with churches across the country, and co-led a local youth ministry there. Currently she works internationally, seeking to support the movement of God among youth. She is passionate about discipleship and loves being a part of launching the next generation of young leaders.
For Thursday’s chapel we invite you to join us for our local church spotlight. Jason Carter is the lead pastor and Matt Hann is the worship pastor at College Park Church.
Jason began as the lead pastor at College Park in February of 2020. Jason has a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro (1999) and a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois (2010). After six years as a youth pastor and 15 years as a worship pastor, Jason and Melanie (his wife) discerned it was time to make a shift into the senior leadership and teaching ministries of the Church. Their prayerful search connected them with College Park in late 2019, and a few months later they moved to Huntington.
Jason is passionate about the ministry of teaching and discipleship in the Church and commits much of his week to pursuing excellence of biblical insight, interpretation, and delivery of the Word of God. Still a worship leader at heart, he loves his relationship with Worship Pastor Matt Hann and the opportunities they have to create and lead worship gatherings for the Church.
