WOMEN’S TENNIS

It was a pair of extremes for the HU women’s tennis team Saturday at Klopfenstein Courts. After sweeping Saint Francis in the morning, Huntington was blanked by Indiana Tech for the split.

Against USF, the Foresters enjoyed their first sweep of the season to even up their league record at 2-2. For the Cougars, who are still looking for their first win of the year, it was the fourth time they haven’t scored in a match.

The matchup with Indiana Tech (2-0) several hours later was a different story. While HU didn’t get in the win column, four of the six singles matches stretched to three sets but unfortunately didn’t favor the hosts in an afternoon of quality tennis.

HU (3-3) is back at it on Tuesday when they host Mount Vernon at 4:00 p.m.
