Huntington returned to the win column Wednesday night, ending a four-match losing streak with a 25-11, 25-12, 25-18 sweep of Goshen inside Platt Arena. The victory improved the Foresters to 12-16 overall and 5-9 in Crossroads League play, while the Maple Leafs dropped to 3-24 overall and 0-14 in league action.
Huntington established control early and never allowed Goshen to find a rhythm. Huntington hit .361 in the frame while holding the Maple Leafs to a negative hitting percentage.
The second set was tied at 8-8 before the Foresters put together a decisive run. Huntington rattled off 11 of the next 14 points to create separation and eventually claim a 25-12 win for a commanding two-set advantage.
Goshen offered its best challenge of the evening in the third set, jumping out to a 6-3 lead, but Huntington quickly responded. The Foresters answered with a 10-2 run fueled by kills from Maggie Hollon, Trevyn Terry and Hallie Higgs to regain momentum. The Maple Leafs later trimmed the deficit to four points before Huntington closed out the match with six of the final nine points to complete the sweep.
The Foresters finished the night with 46 kills while hitting .297 as a team, compared to 19 kills and a .072 hitting percentage for Goshen. Huntington also controlled the back row with a 47-32 advantage in digs and finished with eight service aces.
Senior Trevyn Terry delivered the standout performance of the evening, recording nine kills on just 11 swings without committing an error for an impressive .818 hitting percentage. The senior middle combined leadership and efficiency, helping guide a balanced Huntington attack throughout the evening.

The victory halted a difficult stretch for Huntington and provided a timely boost as the Foresters continue to battle in the tightly contested middle of the Crossroads League standings. With four matches remaining in the regular season, the Foresters will look to build on Wednesday’s balanced offensive effort and efficient play as they continue their push toward conference tournament positioning.
Huntington returns to action Saturday when it travels to Upland for a 1 p.m. Crossroads League matchup.
