OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD
The Forester track and field program turned in a solid showing at the Crossroads League Championships, bringing home five All-Conference finishes and a conference title to headline the week.
Leading the way was Jayden Williams, who sprinted to gold in the men’s 400 meters posting an impressive time of 46.93. The mark not only secured a league championship but also hit the NAIA automatic qualifying standard and set a new Huntington school record.
On the women’s side, the high jump crew carried the load, accounting for 11.5 of HU’s 34.5 team points. Anna Jeannin led the trio with a third-place finish (1.59m), followed closely by Trysta Hilton in fourth with the same height. Avery Mariol added to the total with an eighth-place finish (1.44m) to round out a strong group performance.
Overall, the Foresters saw multiple athletes contribute, with Top-10 finishes earning points throughout the meet.
Huntington now turns its attention to final tune-ups, competing at the Hillsdale Last Chance on May 6 and the Sycamore Open on May 8 before heading to the NAIA National Championships May 20-22.
