WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Huntington women’s tennis team hit the road Tuesday afternoon for a Crossroads League matchup against #RV Goshen College, falling 5–2 in a competitive contest at the Stan King Tennis Complex.

Goshen took control early claiming the doubles point with the pairing of Isabella Herrera and Yariange Bello earning HU’s only win, a 6-4 decision at the No. 1 spot.

Huntington responded with strong efforts across the singles lineup. Bello picked up a key point at No. 2 singles, rallying for a 2–6, 7–6, 6–4 victory over Blanka Bodo. Tiziana Rizzato added another point for the Foresters at No. 5 with a solid 6–3, 6–4 win over Marin Kawano.

At the top spot, Herrera competed in a three-set battle against Uliana Dotsenko, dropping a tightly contested match 6–1, 4–6, 6–1. Addison Mast fell in straight sets at No. 3, 7–5, 6–1, while Ashley Bucur fought through a three-set match at No. 4 before coming up short, 2–6, 7–5, 6–0, and Sofia Kurshinskaia also kept things close before conceding a loss.

Huntington returns to action on Saturday with a road matchup against Spring Arbor. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
