INDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The stage is set in Gainesville, Florida, as Huntington University prepares to compete at the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships, slated for March 5–7 at the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe.

The three-day national showcase will feature 647 men and 543 women from across the country competing for individual and relay titles. The Foresters will be well-represented on both sides.

Athletes who finish in the top eight in prelims advance to finals and earn All-American distinction.

Women Ready to Compete

Huntington’s women’s contingent features a mix of returning national experience and first-time qualifiers.

Olivia Howell (10th-seed) returns to the 800 meters looking to capture back-to-back All-American honors after finishing sixth a year ago. Trista Hilton will have a full slate in her second national appearance, competing in the pentathlon (11th-seed) and high jump (21st-seed). Her first trip to the indoor big stage saw her run a leg of last year’s distance medley relay (DMR).

Also representing HU individually are Molly Harding in the 5000 meters (19th-seed) and Anna Jeannin in the high jump (18th-seed), both of which are making their indoor national debut.

The women’s DMR squad of Shaylynn Reyes, Hilton, Howell and Harding enters as the 22nd-seed, with Anna Sullivan and Mackenzie Brewer listed as alternates.

Men Bring Firepower — Including Nation’s Top 4×400 Time

On the men’s side, Jan Busam headlines a loaded group. The sophomore returns to the 400 meters (4th-seed), where he earned All-American honors last year with a seventh-place finish. He will also compete in the 200 meters (11th-seed) and run legs in both the 4×400 relay and DMR.

Jayden Williams, who competed in the 800 meters at nationals last season, steps into the 600 meters this year (11th-seed) and is slated to run in all three relays. Noah Wellington (9th-seed) joins Busam in the 400 meters, while Kharrington Terry (13th-seed) will compete in high jump.

The Foresters’ 4×400 relay team — Williams, Celestin Trambloy, Wellington and Busam — enters nationals as the top-seed based on incoming times in what promises to be one of the most competitive events of the meet. Only seconds separate the top four teams, setting up a thrilling race for the title. Busam and Trambloy bring relay experience as members of last year’s All-American 4×400 squad.

Huntington’s 4×800 relay (10th-seed) includes Williams, Ben Roberts, Lance Wyrick and Jaden Kropp, while the DMR (22nd-seed) will feature Roberts, Busam, Williams and Kropp. Relay alternates include Luis Flores, Ryker Quake and Hawkins Marihugh.
