Annual Chili (Soup) Cook-off — January 9

We will once again be having our annual Chili (Soup) Cook-off before the start of the spring semester.

We will have the event on Friday, January 9, 2026, starting at 11:30 a.m. in the upper level of the HUB.

We will be collecting canned foods for United With Love’s food pantry again this year, and you will receive one point for your department for each item brought. If you decide to donate a monetary amount, your department will receive two points for each dollar donated. The winning department will be awarded the traveling Norm trophy for the year! The Office of Advancement has won three years in a row. The traveling Norm trophy has not traveled much! Let’s see what we can do to knock the Office of Advancement out of the competition this year!

You can bring chili, soup, and/or dessert. Everyone will receive tickets to vote for their favorite chili, soup, and dessert. The winner of each category will receive a $25 Campus Store gift card.

CEC will be serving up grilled cheese sandwiches (or cheese toasties) again this year to go along with your soup!
