MEN’S TENNIS
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its field for the 2025 ITA Cup, with Huntington University graduate students Julian Tantera and Santiago Sarudiansky among the elite NAIA players selected to compete later this month.
Tantera earned one of eight at-large bids after finishing as the runner-up at the Midwest ITA Regionals. His impressive showing, combined with a strong national singles ranking from last season, secured his place among the nation’s best.
Sarudiansky also received an at-large invitation following his semifinal appearance at regionals and consistent high-level play reflected in last year’s rankings.
In doubles action, Tantera and Javier Lopez Real were named the first alternate pair for the ITA Cup after advancing to the semifinals of the regional tournament hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University last month. The duo will compete if one of the 16 selected tandems declines or withdraws.
The 2025 ITA Cup is set for October 16–19 at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia, marking the 39th year of the prestigious event. The tournament field features eight regional champions and eight at-large qualifiers from across the country.
Formerly known as the Small College Nationals, the ITA Cup serves as the only national singles and doubles championship for NAIA and NCAA Division II programs. Earlier this fall, more than 8,000 players competed in 60 regional tournaments to earn a coveted spot in this year’s field.
