PALSave Faculty Grants: Open Pedagogy, Reviews, and Course Redesign

Open Pedagogy Assignment Grants
PALSave offers $500 grants to faculty for asynchronous learning about open pedagogy and to create, share, and implement an open pedagogy assignment in 2025-2026. The assignments will feature an authentic learning opportunity and a renewable/public-facing option.

  • 63% of students surveyed in this project’s pilot year reported that open pedagogical methods made a positive difference in their learning of the subject matter.

OER Review Stipends
Instructors can learn about open educational resources (OER) and support fellow faculty by writing a review for the Open Textbook LibraryMERLOT, or OER Commons. Stipends range from $100 to $300. Learn more here: PALSave OER Review Stipends

2025-2026 Course Redesign Grants
Applications remain open for the 2025-2026 academic year! Faculty can receive a $700 stipend for converting a course to zero cost with OER, library resources, and other free-to-student course materials. Visit the Course Redesign page 1 for details on grant requirements and to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
