OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD

The HU track and field program kicked off their outdoor season Friday at the Polar Bear Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. Coach Austin Roark took a handful of his long distance athletes as well as some of his jumpers and pole vaulters to compete at this annual season-opening event.

Emma Schiffli highlighted the weekend by tying the school record in pole vault in her first collegiate outdoor outing with her mark of 3.20 meters which also landed her fifth place at the meet among a field of 21 competitors.
