Staff Transition in Marketing/University Relations
Huntington will be without a truly stalwart member of the marketing and university relations staff, as Nicole Manges is leaving her role at HU effective on December 20. Nicole has been the primary public communications writer for several years, interacting with many of you for HU Magazine articles or press releases during that time. Most recently Nicole has served as the coordinator of university communications. Please take a moment during the next two weeks to share your appreciation with Nicole for a job very well done.
We will absolutely miss Nicole, but we are fortunate to have an existing staff member who is stepping into the coordinator of university communications role. Eric Andrews was hired as our part-time content writer four months ago and has worked closely with Nicole during that time. He will begin his new full-time role on January 6. Eric has a strong journalism background, having been the editor of the campus newspaper during his time as a student at Taylor (I know, I know…but he is a good guy nonetheless) and as a reporter for the Huntington Herald Press. Eric also worked for the Huntington County Community School Corporation in a primary communications role. You can plan on contact from Eric during the coming year as he tells the HU story via the magazine, press releases, and social media.
