The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2023-2024 NAIA ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams with both Forester programs well-represented.

On the men’s side, HU was one of 27 teams to be deemed an All-Academic Team based on their cumulative team GPA of 3.51. Agustin Agosto, Mateo Ameller, Augusto Fajardo, Jace Gilman, Andres Jimenez, Valentin Mussi, Dylan Neese, Paul Reupke and Grant Reinhart were nine of 202 tennis players honored as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

The Huntington women were also tabbed an All-Academic Team with a 3.34 team GPA. They were one of 33 teams to claim this status. Members of squad to earn an ITA Scholar-Athlete badge included Nina Golfier, Isabella Herrera, Lilly Klingbeil and Grace Meyer. These Foresters were four of 227 NAIA women’s tennis players to receive this distinction.

To receive All-Academic Team accolades, a team must carry a GPA of 3.2 or above. To be named a Scholar-Athletes, an athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5.

Both HU programs kick off the fall season by hosting Saint Francis on September 3.
