MEN’S GOLF

The Crossroads League announced its 2024 All-League honors for men’s golf and among those recognized were Foresters Peyton Richmond and Mitchell Wilson.

The duo earned a spot on the Honorable Mention Team for their outstanding play over the course of the year. Richmond topped Huntington with his 75.4 scoring average. The junior from Fort Wayne (Carroll HS) picked up a pair of individual medalist praises having topped the leaderboard at the Cardinal Classic and Delaware Shootout. On the year, he finished with four Top 3 finishes.

Wilson played some of his finest golf during his final campaign. His scoring average of 77.2 was second only to Richmond. The Columbia City native (Columbia City HS) collected two third place finishes, the first this fall at the Cardinal Classic and his second in April at the AC Eddy Invitational.

As a team, the Foresters took first at the Cardinal Classic and AC Eddy Invitational. HU’s fourth place finish at the Crossroads League Championships was the highest finish as a program since 2013.
