WOMEN’S GOLF

HU women’s golfers Kira Moore and Danielle Tinsley have been tabbed two of the top players in the Crossroads League as announced by the league office earlier today. The pair garnered Honorable Mention All-League shoutouts.

Moore, a junior from Mansfield, Ohio, paced the Foresters this year with a 78.8 scoring average. The Ashland HS native brought home two tournament wins having been the low medalist at back-to-back invitationals which included Battle at Brookwood and Battle at Blackthorn. For the year she claimed five top three individual finishes.

Tinsley (Pendleton Heights HS, Pendleton, Ind.) wrapped up her career in Forester green with an 81.5 scoring average. The senior earned medalist honors at the Battle of the Woods Invitational and for her efforts was tabbed the Crossroads League Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of April 8. She enjoyed two top three finishes over the course of the year.

The pair guided Huntington to a top finish and four second place finishes this season. The Foresters also claimed the program’s highest finish at the Crossroads League Championships by taking fourth.
