Hughes Wins Friend of Extension Award

Last night, Anita Hughes, our data management coordinator, was awarded the 2023 IEEA Friend of Extension Award at the Huntington County 4-H Fair. The annual award recognizes “someone who has exhibited strong participation, leadership, or cooperation with Purdue Extension activities,” according to the Extension office.

As a Huntington County 4-H leader, Anita has been making an impact in young lives for three decades. She is an integral part of the Fair each year, remaining active in pre-fair judging, overseeing the set up and tear down of the Family Living Building, and serving as a point of connection between the 4-H programs and the fair board. Her contribution to 4-H and to the Huntington County community are phenomenal, and we are thrilled to see her receive this well-deserved award.
