United Way Campaign

I’m a Huntington Co. United Way board member, and I wanted to say thank you to those who attended the United Way campaign presentations last week! You should be receiving a pledge form in campus mail. There are several options on the form for a payroll deduction or a one-time gift. Please return the form (completed or blank) to Pam Rudy through campus mail by Friday, December 16!

One of the programs I love the most is the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. This is a new early literacy program in Huntington County that provides a monthly free book through the mail to kids ages 0-5. If you want to sign up your kiddos, grandkids, or friends for this program, you can head to huntingtonunitedway.org/dolly

Another neat program that impacts our HU students is a new partnership with Lyft to supplement our Huntington Area Transportation (HAT) service. HAT works to get people with transportation barriers to appointments and work.

Beyond that, the United Way supports 19 different organizations like Place of Grace, Love INC, Pathfinders, Kids Kampus, The Salvation Army, Boys and Girls Club, and more. I hope you’ll consider giving to the United Way in 2023! Please let me know if you have any questions.
