Chief Keirsh’s Safety Tip

Back to parking! Huntington City officials reached out to the Huntington University Police Department recently with some concerns. For those of you who park on a city street (Himes Street by Dowden Science Hall or Campus Street by the residence halls), remember to park legally. This means parking WITH the flow of traffic. Do not block fire hydrants or park on a yellow curb. Future violations may result in a parking citation from the City of Huntington or even a tow if it is egregious. The reason for this is the accessibility of emergency personnel and apparatuses in the event of a call for service on or near campus. Let’s be good neighbors and keep HU and the City of Huntington safe!
