WOMEN’S TENNIS

The HU women’s tennis kicked off their season by shutting out Manchester Thursday afternoon on the road 7-0.

The Foresters only gave up five games in doubles play to easily win their first point after which they took care of business in straight sets in singles action. These two programs haven’t met up since 2015 when Ferguson’s crew topped MU 9-0. Since 2006, Huntington is 6-2 against the Spartans.

HU (1-0) is back in action on Saturday to host Goshen and Mount Vernon in conference play.
