Remote Work Days – Your Employee Benefits
Occasionally an employee may request a temporary remote work accommodation. Remote work may include from home, while traveling on the road or in a satellite location for all or part of the regular work week. Each full-time University employee is allowed ten discretionary remote work days per year. Each part-time University employee is allowed ten discretionary remote work days per year, prorated based on FTE.
All employee requested remote work arrangements must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor and senior leader, and Human Resources must be notified. Each arrangement will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis focusing on the business needs of the University.
The request form and details for remote work days can be found on the HU Portal/Personnel/Human Resources/Remote Work Policy & Application. The policy may be found in section 3.5 of the Employee Handbook, also on the HU Portal/Personnel/Employee Handbook/2022 Employee Handbook.
