HU Arizona Has Strong Presence at Peoria Arts & Culture Festival
This past Saturday HU Arizona was able to have a stellar presence at the annual Peoria Arts & Cultural Festival, which was coordinated by our graphic design professor Jeff Del Nero and Cara Wilson, who is the wife of film professor Phil Wilson. Almost 300 young artists stopped by to participate in the creative activity we hosted at our booth. Many more folks viewed the artwork of HU Arizona students and snagged info on our digital media summer camp. Here is the official summary from the festival organizers:
“On Saturday, March 26, we celebrated the 20th Annual Peoria Arts & Cultural Festival with more than 15,000 attendees. This event covered multiple city blocks in Old Town Peoria and included more than 3,000 pieces of student artwork that were on display throughout the event. Attendees enjoyed band, choir, orchestra and dance performances on seven stages throughout the day. There were family-friendly activities, food trucks, an instrument petting zoo, crafters and much more. Thanks to Park West, Huntington University, Valley Schools and our other sponsors for supporting the Peoria Education Foundation and and making this event possible!”
