Spring Semester COVID Reminders

Welcome back for the spring semester, Foresters! In order to help maintain the safest possible environment, please keep the following COVID-related information items in mind:

  • Masks are required in classrooms for both the Huntington, Indiana, and Fort Wayne, Indiana, locations. Masks are also required for chapel in Zurcher Auditorium on the main campus.
  • Masks are encouraged in other indoor spaces for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Testing is available on the main campus in the clinic from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on weekdays. The clinic is located in the lower level of Wright Hall. Testing is available in Fort Wayne and Arizona by appointment. Those in Fort Wayne should contact Dr. Joel Vilensky, and those in Arizona should contact Director Jeff Berggren.
  • Washing hands, physically distancing, and wearing masks are still good, common sense precautions we can all take.
  • The University’s protocols still require a full 10-day isolation upon a positive test result and a 7-day quarantine (with a negative test at the end) upon a close contact exposure. CDC guidance was recently adjusted, but state and local health officials have still recommended these timelines for college campuses. Those individuals who are vaccinated or tested positive within the last 90 days are exempt from quarantining, if asymptomatic.
  • If you are not feeling well, do not report to work. Communicate with your direct supervisor for appropriate next steps.
  • Visit the COVID-19 Campus Plan link at huntington.edu for additional information.
