HU Women’s Auxiliary Fall Breakfast

“Faces of Haiti” will be the topic of the Fall Huntington University Women’s Auxiliary Breakfast Saturday, September 21, at 9 AM. Rebekah Hubley, professional photographer, professor, and mother of several special needs children will be the featured speaker. Rebekah has been going to Haiti since she was a child. Starting in 1978 she accompanied her father, a doctor, who went twice a year to do medical work.

Getting to know Haiti and refining her photography skills grew together. She has been taking photographs professionally for 14 years. During that time she also became a mother of special needs children, one, a son from Haiti. Making multiple trips to Haiti to locate her adopted son’s birth mother, Rebekah chronicled the visits through a series of photographs, entitled “Faces of Haiti,” which share her love of the country and its peoples.
