HU Esports Faces Tough Competition in GLEC

Junior Hayden Peets joined returning Smash players Jacob Farmer and Alex Anderson against Valparaiso last Saturday, September 25. After a brutal seven-stock streak, Farmer finally shut down Valpo’s Zelda in Game 1, but faced his match (literally) in back-to-back King K. Rool bouts, ending Game 1 and starting Game 2.

HU rallied in the middle of Game 2 with a five-stock streak from Anderson’s Piranha Plant, but the Foresters were ultimately defeated 0-2. HU drops to sixth in the GLEC Smash Tournament and faces #1 ranked Bethel this Saturday, October 2 at 10:00 a.m.

This Smash Bros. match will be broadcast live on HU Esports Twitch channel.

Huntington’s new Overwatch team made their GLEC debut this week, facing Trine (2-1) on Saturday and an undefeated Alma squad on Monday. HU was shut out of both best of five matches, with a score of 0-3.
