The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its 2021 NAIA ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams with both Forester programs well-represented on each list.

On the men’s side, HU was one of 25 teams to be deemed an All-Academic Team based on their cumulative team GPA of 3.279. Alejo Bagnera, Illia Turaba and Mateo Ameller were honored as Scholar-Athletes.

The Huntington women were also tabbed an All-Academic Team with a 3.655 team GPA. They were one of 39 teams to claim this status. Members of Ferguson’s crew to earn a Scholar-Athlete badge included Lisa Colling, Morgan Fitzpatrick, Kate Hendrickson and Lanae Singleton.

To receive All-Academic Team accolades, a team must carry a GPA of 3.2 or above. To be named a Scholar-Athlete, an athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5.

Both HU squads kick off the fall season by hosting Spring Arbor and Marian on August 25.
