HU Foundation to Celebrate 75th Anniversary at Annual Dinner
You are cordially invited to attend the Huntington University Foundation Annual Dinner on Thursday, September 12. HU President Sherilyn Emberton will be the keynote speaker for the evening which will include the celebration of the Foundation’s 75th anniversary. The Foundation was created in 1938 by Jacob L. Brenn, Fred A. Loew and other local business leaders. Today, the Foundation continues to serve the community and university by generating financial resources, raising awareness of the university, assisting in the recruitment of students from the county, and enhancing the overall educational experience of all students.
Also at the dinner, the Foundation will present its 2013 Distinguished Service Award. The Foundation established this award in 2002 to recognize individuals or organizations that embody the principles associated with the mission of Huntington University. The recipient will be announced at the dinner.
The evening will begin with a reception at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in the upper level of the Habecker Dining Commons. The cost is $25 per person, or tables of eight may be reserved for $160. The public is invited to attend and reservations are requested by September 6.
