BOWLING

The Forester women’s bowling team has officially qualified for the inaugural NAIA Women’s Bowling National Championship as announced by the national office earlier this week.

Ten women’s teams will make-up the championship weekend at Five Star Lanes in Sterling Heights (Mich.) on March 25-27.

Seven teams received an automatic bid for winning their conference championship while the remaining teams earned an at-large berth based on the final RPI standing. Huntington was one of three teams to receive an at-large bid.

The championship will open with six (four-game) baker sets to decide seeding. Once seeding is confirmed, teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket starting on day two to decide the 2021 national champion.
