International student addresses

For those in offices that update addresses, please check with the DSO in the Office of Student Life before you update the international students’ information. The permanent address must always be their foreign address as long as they are a student. Even students who have graduated can still be on a three-year reporting by HU, if they are on STEM OPT. Any change to an international student’s address has to be reported to DHS (SEVIS) within a 10-day time frame. Regulation [ 8 CFR 265.1 ] F-1 students, like all other aliens in the United States, must update DHS within 10 days of a name or address change. Questions?
