Responsibility: Adopts psychological ownership

  • The student with Responsibility as a strength proves conscientious and dependable, committing to complete assignments.
  • As an instructor, ask this student what responsibility he/she would like to assume and let the student find a way to manage the task.

Restorative: Adeptly deals with problems

  • The student with Responsibility as a strength readily analyzes and identifies problems and a way to fix them.
  • As an instructor, let this student ascertain a problem and articulate to others ways to solve the problem effectively.

Self-assurance: Possess confidence and inner compass

  • Feeling confident with a willingness to take risks, the student with Self-assurance can meet new challenges head-on.
  • As an instructor, provide direction to the student with Self-assurance and then let the student decide how to achieve the envisioned outcome.

Significant: Strives to be recognized for contributions

  • A student with Significance as a strength wants to be recognized for unique contributions and work hard to produce something meaningful.
  • As an instructor, give this student opportunities to stand out, making the mediocre excellent.
