Focus: Prioritizes, then acts

  • A student with Focus sets goals, pursues these goals, and perseveres until the goals are achieved.
  • As an instructor, encourage the student with Focus to establish goals based on course expectations and revisit these to assess progress.

Futuristic: Is inspired by the future

  • The student with Futuristic as a strength draws energy from envisioning the future, thinking about what could be.
  • As an instructor, give the student with Futuristic as a strength new data or information that might capture their attention and encourage further questions.

Harmony: Looks for consensus

  • The student with Harmony tends to avoid conflict and looks for areas of agreement. This student appears even-tempered.
  • As an instructor, let this student help others find common ground and avoid placing the student with Harmony in a situation ripe for conflict.

Ideation: Is fascinated by ideas

  • A student with Ideation connects ideas in original ways, thinking outside the box.
  • As an instructor, prompt the student with Ideation to capture new ideas and share these with classmates with clarity.
