MEN’S TENNIS

The Huntington men’s tennis team had an excellent showing at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. The tournament features the NAIA’s finest in the Midwest.

Junior Alejo Bagnera, ranked 4th overall, headlined Poncio’s crew by making it to the semifinals of the singles draw by knocking off Bethel’s Shembarger and IWU’s No. 3 and No. 4 players before being downed IWU’s top player Stefano Di Aloy.

Mateo Ameller also had a strong outing by making it to the round of 16 with a pair of wins before being ousted, just like Bagnera, by Di Aloy.

ITA Regionals signifies the end of the Foresters’ fall season. They wrap-up the fall with an overall record of 6-4.
