WOMEN’S TENNIS
The 4th-seeded Spring Arbor Cougars (6-4) knocked the 5th-seeded Huntington women’s tennis team out of the Crossroads League Tournament, 5-2, Tuesday afternoon at the Jones Tennis Complex. It was sweet revenge for SAU having suffered a 4-3 loss to HU just a few weeks back in regular season action. The W also snapped a six-game win streak the Foresters’ held over the Cougars.
Ferguson’s two seniors earned HU’s points with Lanae Singleton downing Makenzi Sells, 6-1, 6-4, at #2 singles and Lisa Colling blanking Sela Clifford, 6-0, 6-0, at #3 singles.
The Foresters (4-5) wrap up their fall season with ITA Regionals at IWU on October 1-3.
