Mission Moment
On March 10, Keirsh Cochran was officially sworn in as the Huntington University Chief of Police. At a time when health and safety are at the forefront of our attention and focus, it brings to light the importance of those who serve to ensure public safety. Similar to the pride that Huntington University collectively feels with having an alumnus serve as its hometown mayor, we also feel an inherent pride with having an alumnus serve as our very own campus Chief of Police. As his first 100 days of service passed, Chief Cochran shared an encouraging list of accomplishments and updates in the Forester Feed. This type of work is not done alone. As we know, our mission has Christ at the center, and He provides us the strength we need to accomplish the task at hand. Deuteronomy 31:6 reminds us “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Chief Cochran walks with strength and courage….and maintains a focus on our mission of Christ, Scholarship, Service.
