Chapel Feb. 20 – Mayor Richard Strick
Richard Strick was born and raised in Michigan. He moved to Huntington in 2001 as a freshman at Huntington College and met his wife Jenna a year later. They were married in June of 2007 at St. Peter’s First Community Church after choosing to make Huntington their hometown.
Richard has obtained both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree with a focus on cross-cultural studies, Bible, and pastoral studies. He is a former Huntington City Council representative for District 3. Richard also served full-time on the National staff for Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) as an associate director.
Before joining Love INC National, Richard served as the lead pastor at St. Peter’s First Community Church on Etna Ave. Previously he was the youth and community outreach pastor for the same congregation.
In addition to his professional roles in the community, Richard has been privileged to serve on the Board of Directors for Pathfinder Services, Love In the Name of Christ of Huntington County, and the LaFontaine Center. He also enjoyed five years working with the Huntington North wrestling team. When he isn’t in a meeting for work, you can find him fixing up the house that he and Jenna purchased in Drover Town, enjoying a cup of coffee at Johnny’s, or sharing his front porch with neighbors.
