Joe Pretorius Promoted

We are pleased to announce that Joe Pretorius has been promoted to controller, effective January 1, 2020. Joe began his career with HU in January 2019. Although hired as an assistant to the Controller, Joe had to step up quickly when the Controller transitioned to Vice President for Finance in March 2019. He has effectively been serving in that role for many months and has earned the new title. Joe’s leadership will direct the Business Office in daily operations, cash management, accounts payable, general ledger, budget analysis, and payroll supervision.

Joe has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting from Manchester University. In response to his promotion, Joe shared, “I continue to feel honored being a part of the rich tradition at Huntington University. I feel God has called me to work in the Business Office amongst such great people, and I certainly have a sense of purpose serving this institution each day. Knowing our mission includes serving out students with a Christ-centered focus is impactful, and I look forward to continuing to work hard to make a difference for HU as its new controller.”
