WOMEN’S SOCCER

HU junior Kassidy Kreilach and sophomore Avery Giguere were among the list of women’s soccer honorees to be recognized by the Crossroads League as announced earlier today.

Kreilach (Fort Wayne, Ind.) earned an Honorable Mention designation as one of the league’s top defenders. The Carroll High School product was a staple on HU’s backline. She bolstered a Forester squad that gave up just over two goals per contest. As a team, Huntington picked up two clean sheets on the year.

Giguere (Wauseon HS, Wauseon, Ohio) joined Kreilach on the Honorable Mention Team. The sophomore midfielder was her team’s leading scoring with 11 points which included netting four goals and handing out three dimes.

It’s the first time both players have been honored by the league. The Foresters finished the year with an overall record of 4-13.
