Mission Moment

The first week of classes has just finished, but the digital media arts program at HU has been busy all summer. In July, the dedicated DMA faculty, staff, and current students hosted the 2nd Annual Digital Media Arts Camp. The Camp was an immersive experience for an entire week, filled with classes, projects, social time, and field trips. Nearly 40 junior and senior high school students from across the country stayed on campus for the week and gained a glimpse into how we are “created to create” within God’s plan.

Students came to the Camp with a variety of skill levels and interest levels, but all were challenged to ignite or increase their passion for the arts. Through this experience, youth were exposed to the beauty of HU’s campus, the love of Christ, and the opportunities that may be opened through creativity.

Dr. Lance Clark shared, “It truly was a meaningful experience for our campers by combining the craft of animation, film, and broadcasting along with our faith.” A huge thank you to the faculty, staff, and students within the digital media arts program for furthering our mission of serving Christ through Scholarship and Service.
