Wireless networking anyone?
We’re excited to have completed our transition to our new wireless networking system. This change will ensure more reliable and secure connectivity by not only keeping unauthorized users off the network, but also by alerting us to possible issues on the network before they become issues for you. We will be removing access to the HU_Student and HU_Employee wireless networks by August 19th. After that date you will only be able to connect using the HU_Secure wireless network.
Here’s how you can connect:
• If you are a faculty member or staff member, most devices can connect just by selecting the wireless network “HU_Secure”. When asked for your username and password, use your HU network credentials (the same credentials you use to access your HU email).
• Our guests can select HU_Guest when they connect. It won’t immediately ask for a password, but it should open a web browser window where they can register to get guest access to our network — kind of like the experience you have at a hotel when you access their wireless.
