Benefit of Walking

Walking has many benefits – it’s free, it’s easy fit into a daily routine, and it offers many benefits to those who accept the challenge. It doesn’t have to be a long walk. Even brief walks are beneficial.
Walking helps you mentally by:

1. Clearing your head and giving you a few minutes away from the stress of work.
2. Improves your brain activity (picture attached).
3. Providing opportunity to commune with God in the natural outdoors. Improves spiritual health and is good for the soul!

Walking helps you physically by:
1. Improving your circulation and increasing your cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness.
2. Strengthens and tones your leg and abdominal muscles, strengthens your bones.
3. Improving and supporting your joints by bringing oxygen and nutrients into the area.

These are some of the many reasons why walking is a great way to exercise.
Grab a pair of walking shoes and let’s take a 15-minute walking break! Even better, bring along a co-worker. Or take the time to pray. Set your timer for 15-minutes on your device and let’s go.
