Volunteer Position Opening
Huntington University has an opening for volunteer position through the Indiana Commission for Higher Education to serve Huntington University students on the Huntington, Indiana, campus.
ScholarCorps AmeriCorps members play an important role in making a difference in the lives of others, while gaining valuable civic and workforce skills.
Qualified applicants will need to fully support the campus community agreement outlined in the Mission, Faith, Philosophy, Community booklet. Responsibilities include any tasks assigned include tracking and monitoring academic performance of 21st Century Scholars. Increase student retention and success by providing on-campus support to the Scholars. Enhance the overall collegiate experience for the Scholars. The minimum of 1,700 hours of service from August 5, 2019-July 31, 2020.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
• Must be a United States Citizen, national or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Candidates must have a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to serve others
• Commitment to the mission and goals of Huntington University as a Christ-centered liberal arts institution
• Proven leadership, organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to drive and access to a vehicle
