Chapel April 18- Terra Brantley
Terra Brantley is the evening anchor of Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio’s number one 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts at WANE 15, the CBS affiliate in Fort Wayne. This month she will be inducted into the Indiana Associated Press Hall of Fame. Brantley is the longest-serving African American news anchor in Indiana history. Terra has worked as a professional television journalist for nearly 33 years, serving Indiana and Ohio viewers for more than 26 of those years.
Terra has won many first place awards from the Associated Press, the Indiana Broadcasters Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. She is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and National Association of Black Journalists. Terra was honored as a 2017 recipient of the Indiana Women’s Commission Torchbearer Award, the Fort Wayne Boys and Girls Club Brilliant Woman of the Year Award, and is the recipient of numerous community service awards. A native of Cleveland, Ohio Terra earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication from Ohio University & Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech.
