WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Huntington women’s tennis team wrapped up their year with the IWU Invitational on Saturday where they suffered a 5-0 loss to #9 Indiana Wesleyan before #RV Lewis-Clark State College slipped past the Foresters 8-1.

Playing the always tough Wildcats in the morning, the match was called after the hosts picked up the necessary five points for the win.

The Foresters were back at it in the afternoon to face LCSC. What might appear as a lopsided score, really wasn’t as every match was close with the tell-tale sign the four tiebreakers that unfortunately favored the Warriors in the end.

“The team played well against Lewis Clark,” said Coach Ferguson. “But unfortunately we weren’t able to come through in three of the four tiebreaker situations.”

With today’s results, HU finishes the year with an overall record of 12-7.
