MEN’S TENNIS

The HU men’s tennis team headed to the outskirts of the Windy City over the weekend to do battle with Prairie State College at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club where they suffered a 5-4 loss to the Pioneers. It’s just the second time these two programs have met with the last favoring Huntington 8-1 back on April 7, 2018.

Things started off well for Coach Eckert’s crew as they captured a pair of wins in doubles action for the early lead. Unfortunately, a much-improved Pioneer squad roared back to win four points in singles play for the come-from-behind win.

The Foresters are 1-1 this spring, 9-6 overall. They now have a long break before hosting Earlham on March 27.
