The Value of Our Cost (From Our Mission Statement)

Following up on an earlier post about talking with parents who are concerned about “The Value Relevancy of our HU Faculty, Core and Curriculum,” where I shared several well-known statistics as a means to validate the worth of HU’s tuition, room and board, I want to provide a partner-thought blended within that view.

Within those the charts that say our graduates will get a job, eliminate debt and earn future incomes and benefits, parents will also see evidence of a life-long urging within our graduates to:

• A commitment to scholarship
• A persistence in the pursuit of truth
• A sensitivity to all others
• A broad education for a life of moral and spiritual integrity, personal and social responsibility and the quest for wisdom
• A variety of vocations
• Glorify God
• Care of creation
• Honor God
• Serve others, and
• Personal fulfillment.

The tuition dollar that keeps on giving. I believe we are worth a great deal more than we charge.
