MEN’S TENNIS

The Forester men’s tennis team opened its spring season with a 5-4 win over Cornerstone University Saturday afternoon at Grand Rapids Racquet Club and Fitness.

After earning just one points in doubles action, HU got the job done in singles play by winning four of the six points in straight sets for an exciting finish. With this win, Eckert’s crew improves to 9-5 on the year while the Golden Eagles drop to 4-1 overall. The Crossroads League is one of the few conferences that considers the fall their main season of competition.

The Foresters are off for a few weeks until February 23 when they travel to Prairie State College.
