
Lori Culler Recognized for Basketball Hall Fame Honor
At half-time of the men’s basketball game this Saturday, January 12th, we would like to take a few minutes to recognize HU women’s basketball coach Lori Culler for her upcoming induction into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame. Culler has been tabbed the 2019 Indiana Fever Silver Medal Award recipient. She is just one of only 18 individuals to earn this badge for her outstanding contributions to basketball in the state of Indiana. Culler’s coaching career officially started in 1986 and over the course of her 30+ years of coaching, she has racked up 587 wins. She is the winingest active NAIA Division II women’s basketball coach in the nation. Her teams have won an average of 18 games during her career. She has six NAIA National Tournament appearances under her belt, as well as two NCCAA National Championships.
Culler will be formally inducted on April 27 at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame’s annual banquet.
Faculty and staff are invited to a reception in Lori’s honor that will take place in the aerobics room on the main level of the PLEX immediately following Saturday’s men’s game.
