CROSS COUNTRY
For the third time in her career, senior Aspen Dirr will be representing Huntington University as an individual at the 2018 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championships. Dirr is just the third female in program history to make at least three trips to nationals.
Dirr will toe the line at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday, November 16. She is one of 93 individual qualifiers, which includes three other Crossroads League peers, competing in the 63rd annual 5K race.
The Hudson native punched her ticket to the big stage by finishing fourth overall at the league meet with a season-best time of 18:40.0.
The field also includes 36 teams made up of 24 automatic qualifiers, a host berth (Mount Mercy) and 11 at-large bids. Taylor will be representing the Crossroads League with an automatic bid as the league champs while Indiana Wesleyan was one of the 11 teams to receive an at-large berth.
The event will take place at Seminole Valley Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
