As HU’s sixth man last year, Hammel, a 5-7 sophomore, quickly earned the respect of her Crossroads League peers as evidence by this season’s preseason honor. The Anderson native (Pendleton Heights HS) averaged 7.3 points in addition to tracking down 3.6 rebounds and swiping 1.6 steals per night as a freshman this past winter.
