Huntington University senior Breanna Levings earned a spot in the HU record books by posting her 1,000th career assist Friday night at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational.

Levings came into the season needing just 33 assists for a grand. She hit that mark in the Saint Francis (IL) match where she finished with 19 assists to push her total 1,005. After three more matches this weekend, the Indianapolis native currently has 1,070 assists in Forester green and white.

The 5-5 setter is currently averaging 3.43 assists and 1.70 digs per set this season.

“Few players have had the adversity Bre has throughout her career and few could have handled it as positively as she has,” said Coach Shondell. “She has gotten better every single year she has been here and this mark shows just that.”

The Foresters (7-15, 3-7) are back in action on Wednesday to host Spring Arbor at 7:00 p.m.
